SPECIALE

SPECIALE is a 6-digit code combining:

• the provider’s specialty (first 2 digits) “type of provider” (see SPEC2)
• the specific service delivered (last 4 digits).

The code definitions follow the national agreements between regions and healthcare provider groups, and they change regularly, which makes comparisons over time difficult. Many service labels appear multiple times across specialties, so the 6-digit code must always be interpreted together with the 2-digit specialty.

The full and updated service codes and tariffs are published 1–2 times per year in the takstmapper available on okportalen.dk.
